It’s a ‘J’ Thing has taken on many forms since its establishment in 2016. Originally the band was a trio consisting of members Jessica Kelly (lead vocals), James Caruso (guitar and vocals) and Jacklyn Turner (violin and vocals). The trio began playing together back in 2008 with the group Aid to Navigation (2008-2016) and when that project ended the three founding members It’s a ‘J’ Thing continued playing together. Over the years they have developed a unique sound that features dynamic vocals and harmonies, backed with a consistent tone on acoustic guitar and highlighted with blasts of electric violin. In 2024, vocalist and violinist Jacklyn Turner took an indefinite leave from the group, but the duo of Jess and James continues to play. It’s always possible to see a featured artist at a show and the musical journey carries on…..
